Local Mission
The New Windsor Presbyterian Church works to serve the community in a number of different areas.
Food Pantry
We offer the community a food bank for those who are in need. The communities Food Bank is open the first Thursday of each month from 3-6 pm. Some essential canned and dried goods can be found as well as toiletry items.
Donations to the food pantry are accepted at any time and are always appreciated, but perishable items cannot be kept.

Blessing Box
Food insecurities abound – especially for our youth. Many children in the community may not have consistent access to food beyond what they receive at school. The Blessing Box was established as a place that food could be accessed 24/7. Individually packaged snack foods are most needed and appreciated.
Emergency Fund
The Emergency Fund was established to help community members in financial need. It has helped assist with power, water and heating bills, as well as rent payments. Assistance will only be given once to an individual and payments are paid directly to those who are owed (landlord, power company, etc.). Those who are looking for assistance should contact the church office at (309) 667-2412.
Our assistance is based on available funds. Donations are always welcomed – please just specify your gift is to be used for this purpose.
Presbyterians And Lutherans Serving (PALS)
Presbyterians and Lutherans Serving is an organization of local congregations which cooperate by sharing an emergency fund for people who need help paying bills or other expenses. We also collect donations of food or cash to support our local food pantries in New Windsor, Sherrard and Woodhull. In addition, PALS churches host weekly services during the season of Lent, as well as one Thanksgiving service every year.
